Resources for Frayn's Copenhagen: Beethoven and Bach

In addition to being a talented mathematical physicist, Heisenberg was an accomplished musician. His daughter, Barbara Blum, speaks of his love for music as a source of solace and strength for him. When he was a young man, David Cassidy relates, he belonged to a youth group that hiked and sang German folk songs. Heisenberg in Frayn's play alludes only to classical music, in particular to the piano sonatas of Beethoven and the organ fugues of Bach.
