Implementation Teams

In June 1996, five "implementation teams" were established to provide additional business knowledge and expertise needed to assist with the configuration of the various modules of SAP.  Members of these teams were drawn from more than 30 different MIT organizational units, with over 50 percent of the participants coming from laboratories, centers, or academic areas. Three teams submitted final reports and recommendations.

Earlier in 1998, the Policy Implementation Team was asked by Vice President Bill Dickson to assess the progress of the Management Reporting Project in implementing the recommendations of the various teams. The Policy Team reviewed the recommendations of three implementation teams: Financial Management, Research Management, and Departmental Procurement. The status of each recommendation was determined to the best extent possible. Since the three "report cards" were submitted in mid-1998, the status of the implementation of some of the recommendations has changed. Where necessary, status updates were appended in italics.

If you have questions about these reports, please contact the Policy Team at iteam-policy@mit.edu. The reports and report cards can be printed locally by using the Print function of your Web browser.
