Work currently underway in Academic Computing
Together, Information Systems employs 45 to 50 people who work on academic computing,
and spend about $6-million per year. Roughly 1/3 of the academic-computing budget goes to
equipment and related expenses; roughly 1/3 goes to development, maintenance, and operation of
systems and clusters; and roughly 1/3 goes to various kinds of support, advocacy, and user assistance.
