At our initial working session in June 1995, the I/T Leadership Team used the affinity diagram (aka KJ) tool on the question: What are the BURNING ISSUES this team must deal with? These are the resulting header cards:

  2. How do we deal with outside IS stuff?
  3. How do we get ITLT to work together?
  4. How do we publicize/market ITLT to MIT?
  5. How do we help staff thru neutral zone?
  6. How do we (re)arrange people into teams?
  7. How do we organize work into new framework?
  8. What are our HR principles?
  9. How do we get competency groups going?
  10. How do we manage our finances?
