The MIT Course Catalog, published in August, provides a comprehensive description of the Institute's academic programs. It is available in print and online.

To help reduce paper consumption at MIT, subject descriptions are no longer included in the print catalog. They are available online — not only through MIT's Student Information System but also on the catalog website.

The MIT Course Catalog can be viewed online at http://web.mit.edu/catalog/ and can be downloaded in its entirety from the online MIT Bulletin archive.
