Students who have two or more finals scheduled during the same exam period are permitted to take a conflict examination. A conflict examination will be scheduled at another time during exam week.
Students who wish to be scheduled for a conflict exam because of travel plans must talk directly to their instructor(s) to make alternate exam arrangements. However, instructors are under no obligation to accommodate such requests.
To be scheduled for a conflict exam, students must do the following:
After Add Date, the Schedules office will contact students to verify exam conflicts. Students will be assigned a conflict examination by the end of the 13th week of the semester—after Drop Date.
Cross-registered students with conflicts between their MIT final examination and another school's schedule must contact their MIT instructor to resolve the conflict.
