Current Projects: Classrooms in Buildings 2 and E52

Two renovation projects are currently in construction for classrooms in buildings 2 and E52.

The first project started construction in June of 2013 and is scheduled to be completed for the spring semester 2016. This project is part of a larger capital improvement to renovate all the floors and exterior of building 2. The following eleven classrooms are included in this project.  Ten recitation size classrooms:  2-131, 2-132, 2-135, 2-136, 2-139, 2-142, 2-143, 2-146, 2-147, 2-151 and lecture hall 2-190.  The improvements for the recitation classrooms will include new tables and chairs, sliding chalkboards, climate control, motorized window shades, av systems and lecture capture technology in 2-131 and 2-142. The lecture hall will have 134 fixed, tiered seats with power at each seat. Other improvements include three sets of sliding chalkboards, climate control, new windows with motorized sun and blackout shades, av system with audio conferencing and lecture capture technology.

The second project started construction in June of 2013 and is scheduled to be completed for the spring semester 2016.  This classroom renovation is part of a capital improvement to renovate all interior spaces and the exterior of building E52.  This project includes lecture room E52-164. The improvements will include new fixed tables and chairs with power at each seat, sliding chalkboards, climate control, motorized window shades, dual video projectors, and lecture capture technology.
