Reservations
In order to reserve classroom space for an event, please
use the appropriate Classroom Reservation Request Form:
Please allow two business days for processing requests.
General Guidelines
- Reservations may be made only by current members of the MIT community, such as administrative staff, faculty, or ASA-recognized signatories. However, in accordance Section 12.5, MIT Policy and Procedures, "facilities are not available to individuals, but only to academic departments, administrative offices, and officially recognized student, faculty, staff, and employee organizations." (See Section 12.5.1 for information on the circumstances under which non-MIT organizations may be sponsored.)
- Students not representing an ASA-recognized student group,
alumni, and groups that are not part of the MIT community are not allowed to make
classroom reservations.
- The Schedules Office is unable to honor requests for events
that are not closely connected to the MIT community and for events such as religious
ceremonies, dramatic performances, or political affairs.
Requests for classrooms are honored according to the Classroom Reservation Timeline, and all reservations are subject
to the Classroom Rules of Use.
Advance confirmations for daytime events (Monday-Friday,
8:00 am - 6:00 pm) are subject to change should an academic class require
usage of the assigned classroom(s). Should this occur, we will make every
attempt to provide an alternate location.
