Attendance and Degree Certifications

MIT can provide official written certification confirming your degree and attendance dates. (If you are a current student looking for proof of your current enrollment, please see the instructions for enrollment certifications.)

If you received an MIT degree in February 1991 or later and are asked by an employer to provide official certification of your degree and dates of attendance you may refer the requestor to the National Student Clearinghouse at

How to Order In Person

Please visit the Registrar's Office in 5-117 to request a certification of your attendance and degree(s). In most cases, the certification can be produced on the spot. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
