1. Enter your subjects directly in subject selection following these instructions. Current pre-registration selections can be viewed on the pre-registration summary page.

2. For-credit subjects are listed in the Summer Session Catalog . UROP and research subjects can also be taken.
3. Students taking only thesis or research during the summer must pre-register.
4. Pre-registered subjects can be updated until May 31, when pre-registration closes.

1. Pre-registration for the Fall opens at 9:00 am on May 1.

2. There are two ways to pre-register for Fall:
   • Enter your subjects, including thesis and UROP, directly in subject selection following these instructions.

   or

   • Choose your subjects, including thesis and UROP, in the Subject Listing and Schedule and auto-submit them to pre-registration. The advanced search feature can help you find subjects to fit your interests or schedule.

3. Current pre-registration selections can be viewed on the pre-registration summary page.
4. Students taking only thesis or research must pre-register.
5. The HASS-D Lottery is accessed while pre-registering and closes when pre-registration closes on August 20. If you want to guarantee a space in your first choice HASS-D in case you do not receive it you must contact the SHASS administrator before the end of pre-registration. See more information.
6. Sloan Course Bidding (Course 15) for non-Sloan students is open from 9:00 am on Friday, May 11 to 5:00 pm on Friday, May 18. There are additional rounds for waitlist bidding for closed courses and section swaps.

Deadlines and Late Fees

Pre-registration for the Summer Session closes at 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 31. There is a $50 late fee.

Pre-register as completely as possible by 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 31. There is a $50 late fee for students who initiate pre-registration after May 31 and an $85 fine for students who fail to pre-register by 5:00 pm on Monday, August 20.

How to check your pre-registration once it is submitted

Go to the pre-registration summary page to check on your current subject selections. This page displays what pre-registration is on file with the Registrar's Office.

After Pre-registration Closes

Students will use the new online registration application to register for Summer Session. Graduate students who are enrolled in a research degree program and who are taking only thesis or pre-thesis research subjects during the summer will have their registration approved by their department. All other students should contact their department to discuss subject selection. See Summer Registration Instructions.

Your pre-registration is replaced with your class schedule on WebSIS when pre-registration closes. The class schedule includes the subjects you pre-registered for and the results of the HASS-D Lottery and Sloan Bidding, except Sloan waitlist positions which do not appear on class schedules. Waitlist positions and section information can be checked through Sloan Course Bidding.
