Committee on Curricula (CoC)

The Committee on Curricula has the authority to act "with power" for the Faculty in the following areas of undergraduate education:

The Committee also reviews proposals for departmental exchange programs, petitions from students to make substitutions for the GIRs (REST, Institute Lab), and applications from students seeking to earn a double major. The Committee serves as the standing Faculty advisory body to the Registrar. The formal description of the Committee's responsibilities is defined in Section 1.73.3 of the Faculty Rules and Regulations.

The Committee's membership includes six elected Faculty members and four undergraduate students. Also serving in a non-voting capacity are the Dean for Undergraduate Education, a designee of the Dean for Undergraduate Education, the Registrar, and the Chair of the Committee on the Undergraduate Program.
