Faculty Curriculum Committees

All for-credit subjects and curricula are reviewed and approved by faculty committees. At the undergraduate level, this oversight falls to the Committee on the Undergraduate Program (CUP) and the Committee on Curricula (CoC). The CoC, which also serves as the standing faculty advisory body to the Registrar, reviews all subject and curricular proposals (majors, minors). Graduate subjects and programs are reviewed by the Committee on Graduate Programs (CGP) through the Office of Graduate Education.

The roles of faculty committees are outlined in detail in Faculty Rules and Regulations. Section 1.73.1 describes the CGP; section 1.73.2 explains the CUP; section 1.73.3 covers the CoC.
