Welcome to the computing and networking informational pages dedicated to residential computing at MIT. For information regarding computing in the MIT FSILGs, please see the FSILG networking pages.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers access to MITnet and the general Internet from its residence halls and living groups. All undergraduate and graduate students are offered a variety of services designed to get your computer on the network quickly and easily. This site explains these services and also explains how to access them.

Networking in the Dorms: Basic information on getting your computer connected to the MIT network
Wireless: A description of the wireless network, where it is available and how to connect to it. Additional information regarding security, troubleshooting and policy is included on this page as well.
Note: Private, personal or non-MIT access points are not allowed in the residence halls.
