IAP Design Contest (Phase I)   January 19-29 Teams of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents roll up their sleeves and develop proposals that describe the important elements of the system that they would change and those they would retain, highlighting the benefits the community would gain by carrying out the plan.       Preliminary Proposal Forum   April 27, 7pm Room 6-120 The Steering Committee presents its Phase II Status Report to the MIT community. Read the Status Report, and the alternative proposals submitted in response. Community feedback meetings   April 30 - May 12 at 6 locations The Steering Committee holds numerous small meetings in which to get feedback from all parts of the community about its proposal. Read the notes from these meetings. Steering committee presents "final draft" for community discussion   Registration Day, September 7 The Steering Committee submits its final draft to the community for three weeks of discussion. Community feedback meetings   September 7 - 30 at locations TBA The Steering Committee again holds numerous small meetings to receive feedback from all parts of the community about its final draft proposal.
