About the Association

The Association of MIT Retirees, organized in 1994, is open to all retirees from the Institute regardless of length of service. The Association arranges or sponsors social and educational activities of interest to retirees, including one-day and longer trips, seminars, regional lunches, an annual lunch, and other social gatherings. The organization offers opportunities for retirees to get together and to stay in touch with each other and with the Institute, as well as to have fun together.

The Association is managed by a volunteer retiree Advisory Committee which coordinates events, publications and operations. The Association is supported by MIT's Community Services Office.

Full annual membership is $15 and Directory-only membership is $8. Renewals are sent in November. Please help us keep our membership database up-to-date by promptly informing us of changes.

We are always pleased to hear from members. Let us know your ideas for activities and how we can strengthen the Association. Volunteers are most welcome!
