As many of you know, Holly Sweet is retiring from MIT in June after 38 years with ESG.
Since July 2014, Holly has been raising money for an endowment to fund educational initiatives at ESG (including innovative seminars, scholars in residence, and new pedagogies for core subjects). This endowment is particularly important right now since, due to a number of factors, any funds for innovation currently come exclusively from alumni gifts. Over $600,000 has been raised already and it would be great if we could get close to the $1M goal by the time of our anniversary party in June.
To honor the time she has spent at ESG, we are creating a "memory book" for her, including photos, anecdotes and memories of those years, and any messages you'd like to give her. If you would like to submit something, please send it to Rich Hilliard by , so we can have it ready in time for the reunion.
We are also planning a day trip with Holly on , following the reunion, a cruise to the Boston Harbor Islands. The outing is planned for 10am–2pm. We will meet at ESG.
