SMD Payload Design Award: Awarded to the team with the most creative and innovative NASA science mission directorate (SMD) payload design while maximizing safety and science value.

Project Review (CDR/FRR) Award: Awarded to the team that is viewed to have the best combination of written reviews and formal presentations.

Educational Engagement Award: Awarded to the team that is determined to have best inspired the study of rocketry and other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) related topics in their community. This team not only presented a high number of activities to a large number of people, but also delivered quality activities to a wide range of audiences.

Web Design Award: Awarded to the team that has the best, most efficient website with all documentation posted on time.
