The R R Schrock laboratories at MIT are now closed.  RRS is now the F. G. Keyes Professor Emeritus at MIT and the Distinguished Professor and George K. Helmkamp Founder's Chair of Chemistry at the University of California, Riverside, where he maintains a group of three postdoctoral students currently.  Their research projects concern the organometallic chemistry of molybdenum and tungsten with respect to the synthesis of alkylidene complexes, mechanisms, and applications of olefin metathesis reactions to organic chemistry.  He can be contacted through his email at either MIT or UCR (richard.schrock@ucr.edu); postdoctoral applications are welcomed.  The MIT Website will be maintained with information relevant to his 45 years of service to the Department of Chemistry at MIT and with a summary of ongoing research at UCR.
