Note that the slides on graphics file formats and viewing and editing graphics are slightly outdated. This year, you will only be able to include graphics in jpg, tiff, pdf, and png format, but NOT eps or gif. To convert files from one format to the other, type "convert picture.gif picture.jpg" (for example, to convert a file from gif to jpg format).
