In a nutshell:
I am starting my master's degree in the Computation for Design and Optimization program in Fall 2011.
My current research interests are in the general area of Inverse Problem, Uncertainty Quantification, Geoscience Application and Optimization. I have recently joined the JRG under the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.
I am graduating in May, 2011 from Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with a minor in computer science and a minor in computational science. My undergraduate thesis was on an inverse problem on heat equation in heterogeneous media.
I have also worked on four other projects involving groundwater flow simulation, contaminant transport modeling, derivative-free optimization, and farm-land models.
I grew up in China and graduated from Yali High School in Changsha. I came to the States for college in 2007.
