CCF covers more than 14 millions documents thank to the fusion of 3 big french catalogues : the catalogue des fonds des bibliothèques municipales rétroconvertis (that locate more than 2 millions documents scattered all over the french territoru) , the "catalogue BN-Opale Plus" (that allow to localise more than 7 millions of books archived in the Bibliothèque nationale de France) and the "catalogue du Système universitaire de documentation - SUDoc (+ 4 millions documents). All the documents are either printed documents, audio, videos, multimedia.

The Online Catalogue of the museum presents the more than 1,200 objects on permanent exhibition through color images and detailed descriptions. For the more complex objects, simulation animations and/or videos are also made available. The "thematic visit" are Videos and animations that reconstruct the historical contexts and thematic references of the objects on display, allowing for an exploration of the Collections by subject. The "Biographies" link will lead you to biographical data of quoted names, in alphabetical order, including those of all object. The library conserves specific collection on metrology, History of construction, electricity, Universal exhibitions. The catalogue includes also all the works form the engineers that defended their thesis at the CNAM.

You will find a dictionary for the scientifics and technical terms, short articles enriched with hyperlinks. You need to subscribe. It is free though, and it gives you access to the english/french translation. You can also make a full subscription (not free) and it will give you access to the whole encyclopedic dictionary.
