These are the latest pictures I have. I do not have a digital camera, so could not take pictures while I went along. I plan on taking apart the gearbox some time and taking some more pictures of how the gears fit together inside the channel and the sides.

Again, as I have explained, the building phase has been a little slow. I guess I overdid the gearbox by not only enclosing the gears in the aluminum channel, but also "in" the lexan sides as well. The gears are set in a 1:1 ratio, as they are not stepping up or down my speed, just trying to elevate the Ford motors. Professor Flowers also noticed that my bearing system was non-existent, so I have redone the driven gears to sit on the 3/8" aluminum rod, which sits on a delrin bushing fitted into the channel.

As of April 30th, I still need to stabilize the back end of the robot as the sides are only held by the front sandwich right now. I also plan on using welding rods to support the Ford motors to the sides. This will require drilling some holes and should be quick. The shafts are mostly done, but I need to trim off one of them, as you can see from the picture. The through pins I plan on using will be placed when all final modifications have been made.

Special thanks to Louis Breger for taking the pictures for me on his digital camera!!
