The second batch of solid models. This time, the focus is on material budget. After studying parts more carefully, I noticed that the aluminum plate is not big enough to bend into the original box I had planned in problem set #5. The new design is to use either ABS or Lexan sheets for the sides. I plan on using an aluminum/wood sandwich to hold the spinning cylinder. Details on how the cylinder is to be bent from the aluminum plate. It is very possible!!! I've already made a test piece.

One of the Ford motor is going to be geared in a one-to-one ratio. This will allow both Ford motors to run in the same direction when I want to drive straight. The method before would have been alright, but the torque-speed correlation of these Ford motors are different in the forward/backward directions.

For a copy of the problem set to be turned in.
