We're Here to Help

We have chosen to revive the chapter with a focus on community service. Over the course of the year, members have participated in a variety of activities according to their interest. However, brothers have also worked together on some long-standing projects with organizations around Boston. Foremost among these has been the Margaret Fuller House, a food bank and center for children, who we have worked closely with since our inception. Members have volunteered in after-school programs on a regular basis for the center, serving as role models and providing homework help for young children. Additionally, we have helped out with chores around the house, such as refitting the house with air conditioning right before the summer. In April, we organized an Easter Egg hunt for the children and it was a great success.

Of late, with our new members included, we have become involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay organization, which will pair us with individual underprivileged children with whom we can establish a close relationship and provide support and guidance. In addition, we all participated in the Undergraduate Giving Campaign to provide money for Expedition Grants to send students abroad to do their own community service projects around the world.
