Newsgroups: alt.censorship Subject: New TEALE article. From: julian.corey@canrem.com (Julian Corey) Message-ID: <60.28647.4971.0N1C3A96@canrem.com> Date: Tue, 13 Dec 94 12:58:00 -0500 Organization: CRS Online (Toronto, Ontario) Lines: 124 Fallen Angels by Brian O'Neill and Michael Wass "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers" Canadian true-crime author Brian O'Neill has, against all odds, produced a masterful and lamentable account of the tragic stories of murdered Southern Ontario teenagers Tammy Lyn Homolka, Leslie Erin Mahaffy, Kristen Dawn French, and "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers," Karla Teale-Homolka and Paul Teale-Bernardo. Earlier this year, after suffering threats and accusations of criminal activities, author Brian O'Neill was himself subject to criminal activity. Criminal activity that included U.S. border officials and Green Ribbon Task Force member Steve McLoed. Mr. O'Neill, upon crossing the border to The United States, from Canada, was immediately stopped and detained for several hours against his will. U.S. border officials then released O'Neill into the custody of Steve McLoed who seized O'Neill's personal documents and accused him of the theft of the documents. This cross-border conniving was, allegedly, ordered by a representative of the Ontario Attorney General's Office, Crown Attorney Ray Houlahan and coordinated by Green Ribbon Task Force leader, Inspector Vince Bevan. Ontario Crown Attorney Ray Houlahan, later, found no evidence of theft and declined to press criminal charges against O'Neill, but added that the documents now belonged to the Office of the Attorney General. It is believed that editors and legal advisors for Mr. O'Neill will pursue a $250,000 law suit against the Ontario Ministry of The Attorney General and other unnamed individuals. The unrevised manuscript of "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers," by Brian O'Neill, delicately opens with a heart rending account of a tragedy that was the precursor to the abduction and brutal murder of Burlington, Ontario teenager Leslie Mahaffy. I was emotionally hooked from the first sentence; the words tugged at my heart. The author has, at the request of one of the victims' families, compassionately agreed to postpone the release of "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers" until early 1995. It was Christmas of 1990 that Tammy Lyn Homolka died as a result of a mixture of the sleep inducing drug Halcion and alcohol spiked eggnog given to her, incredibly, by her trusted older sister Karla Homolka. Homolka was allegedly assisted by Paul Bernardo. Brian O'Neill has remained generous and patient with me as I continued an unrelenting pursuit of facts to clarify and discard the many rumours surrounding the Homolka and Bernardo cases. He was the key to my research in confronting the various rumours contained in the alt.fan.karla-homolka FAQ. Now, as a prelude to release, O'Neill provides an original page from the unrevised manuscript, "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers," by Brian O'Neill. This will be the last Internet article on the subject before the release of "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers." "Get it!" he barked at Karla, outraged at having to repeat his command. "Paul," Karla began. Protest was useless though; she knew from brutal experience. Sensing his frustration she quickly moved to obey her husband and avoid a beating. Karla left to retrieve the electric razor kit that he demanded. Kristen's feet never touched the floor as he hauled her off the bed and dragged her down the short hall to the bathroom. He pushed Kristen, forcing her down onto the toilet seat; Kristen lost her balance and tumbled over it. "I'll fuckin kill you", he blared at her. His hands, shaking with adrenaline, were a frightening parallel to the terrified shaking of Kristen. He threatened to resume his brutal assault with the black rubber mallet. Karla returned. In submission, she entered the bathroom holding the electric razor kit. "Cut the bitch's hair," Paul commanded. While Paul stood sentry over the trembling Kristen, Karla took her place at his side, bent, and began to clip away the beautiful locks of Kristen's hair. In swift order, Kristen's dark hair laid pooled and matted on the bathroom floor. Paul took the razor and caressed the cord, allowing it to glide along his palm. He stabbed the plug into the electrical outlet, and handed the razor to Karla. Ragged breathing and the ominous buzzing of the electric razor dominated the room. A terrified Kristen looked to Paul then quickly away to Karla. Kristen, heart pounding with fear, locked eyes with Karla and silently communicated a plea for mercy. A plea that neither Karla or Paul would ever deliver. As Karla bent over her, the razor whizzing, natural reflex seized Kristen and her hands went up to protect herself. Paul lashed out at Kristen, slapping her across the face. His face a mixture of rage and satisfaction, he grabbed her hands and held them still. To Paul and Karla, this was just another enjoyable round of torture and humiliation; another phase in the attempted destruction of the strong will of Kristen French. Karla, ignoring the girl's howls of despair, shaved the side's Kristen's head, sculpting what remained of her crudely hacked hair into the "Skateboarder's Buzz." The same hair- style Paul wore. Due to the continual harassment and threats to the author by Canadian authorities including, allegedly, Crown prosecutor Ray Houlahan, and members of the Green Ribbon Task Force, Vince Bevan and Steve McLoed, "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers" is being published in the U.S.A. The book will sell for $16.95 Canadian. I will be coordinating special arrangements for Canadian distribution and purchase of "Canada's Ken and Barbie Killers."
