Why am I so restless?

We learned decoupling systems today. Shirley said, "That reminds me of breaking up. . ." So I adorned my notes with couples being de-coupled by eigenvectors. . . Quite amusing. . . Wow. Lots to study for today. Is that all I ever have to say? I guess so, until this weekend.

Ooohhhhhhhhhh. . . I'm so stressed ~_~; So much to study for in 18.03! (DifEq) and 8.02 (Physics). . . How am I going to make it through this week? The orchids on my desk are cheering me up. . . and so is the Sibelius Concerto, along with Bohemian Rhapsody (great song, except for the random part in the middle. . .) Spring fever is in the air--- today was sooooooo beautiful outside. . . How can anyone study with this weather?

Oh my gosh. . . every single muscle in my body is sore ~_~; But I don't care!!!!! I made a 29/30 on my project, i can't believe it. . . I'm hyperventilating. . . no just kidding. ^_^ wow, that made my day.

Made strawberry shortcake with my neighbors, Jacque and Maithilee.

I'm so stressed! I have 2 tests next week, and a project due in 2 weeks. Aaron, my TA for 6.001 (my Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs class), just e-mailed us and told us that he graded harshly, and only one person made perfect on their extension (this was the adventure game project; my extension was a Marauder's Map) and he talked about all the things that people did wrong, and I fit into sooooooooo many of those categories. Well, he's e-mailing us our actual grades later this evening--- it's driving me mad! I've been checking my mail every 5 minutes! And I know I'm just going to do so bad, even though I spent days on the Marauder's Map. . . So if you hear some sort of deafening scream later this evening, you'll know what it is. . .

So I made my first Meg Murry picture today. I suck at proportions. The face is alright, but I can never get body posture or hands or arms. . . Which is a bad thing, if I want to write a web-manga. . .

6.001 humor:
Shirley after getting her 6.001 test: I'm going to have to re-evaluate my life now!
Vivian: Oh no! That means you'll have to drop a new environment frame. . .

I would major in 6 (Isn't it sad? Our majors are numbers. . . 6 is Comp Sci/Electrical Eng) just for the T-shirts.
There is a new one for girls: a grey shirt that says "six chicks" with 6 baby birds. . .

I'm terrible at counting things. I zone out and lose track of where I am and then I have to start all over.

I did DDR today with Jacque and Maithilee.

I heard this song called Chop Suey by System of a Down at the anime convention as the music for a music video based on Evangelion. It fit the video so well, and the lyrics were a little strange, but it created this really powerful atmosphere. . . and I'm hooked on the song. . .

Go take my Sailor Room quiz! A (sad? noble? you decide. . .) attempt to create a different sort of Sailor Personality quiz. . .

day after Easter. . . not much accomplished today: 2 6.001 lectures, parts of p-set, parts of physics. . . It's just so scary that the semester is almost over. I was able to eat meat today: and took advantage of it as soon as breakfast ^_^ with a bagel and sausage.

Lindy had a .hack//SIGN marathon today--- I was able to watch the first 10 episodes--- it was really well done and interesting. . .
After playing the Sailor Moon RPG for just a few weeks, I was able to pick up on a little bit of the RPG humor ^_^

Oh, my! Why am I so sleepy?
Maybe because I have so much work
~Goodnight

I saw this picture of Sirius Black with long hair and a motorcycle--- in manga-style--- omg!! Soooooooooo hot. I had this sudden inspiration to make short "A Wrinkle in Time" fan-manga strips. It would be so much fun to draw the Mrs. W's--- in both forms. ^_^ Probably too ambitious a project for me to even begin: but surprisingly, it doesn't seem like it's been done very often. There are obviously tons of beautiful Harry Potter ones, and Star Wars ones, but I've searched for Wrinkle in Time mangas and come up with nothing. . . But who knows. . . one day ^_^.

I remembered one of my favorite scenes from Totto-chan (actually triggered by a music video I watched at the anime convention). . . when Totto-chan makes friends with the boy who had polio. . . and trys to teach him to climb trees and brings him up the tree herself. . . And it made me feel so sad, and dreamy, and I don't know why. . .
It's such a good book!! It's almost enough of a reason to make me want to take Japanese next year: so I can read it untranslated ^_^.

~Good night.

Today is also Easter. . . Happy Easter! I love the readings around this time of year. Good Friday has the one that goes "There was nothing stately in Him, nothing that woudl make us look at Him. . . He was scorned and rejected by men. . ." And there is something so powerful about the angst with which Jesus proclaims, "My God, why have you forsaken me. . ." And then all the readings during the Vigil about the history of the Israelite nation, and I wonder. . . how different the world would be if people had been better. . . How God used to walk and talk with His people directly, but how they always betrayed Him. . . I wonder, if this is sacreligious or not, if God at some point changed, from punishing us as we deserved, to setting Himself down instead to suffer for what we did wrong. There's a huge distinction in the way that God deals judgements in the two periods. . .

Anime convention today--- it was great!! It was the very first AnimeBoston. . . All kinds of cos-players--- Lindy saw some from her favorite anime .hack//SIGN. . . there were several Sailor Senshi. . .

The music videos were great too. . . Gosh those look like they take lots of time! And I got Sailor Moon manga half off ^_^ **Happiness**. And a little Sailor V pin to stick on my backpack. (No Sailor Merc ~_~) Ohhh my gosh! At the dealer's fair, I came across an imported copy of an out of print Sailor Moon art book. . . Hardcover, glossy pages, beautiful watercolored pictures, untranslated Japanese. . . it was so tempting to buy! But alas, it was 40 dollars, so I suppose I'll just stick to finding scans of it online ~_~;

I had a 6.001 test today ~_~;
unhappy thoughts. . .

I just found what my favorite chord is: III. It's a pity I don't know how to use it; rather a pity in general that I suck at Harmony and Counterpoint.

Ah. . . CPW. . . the memories of being a pre-frosh last year

I guess all things must end, and times must go on.

“Rightly said!” cried Beregond, rising.
“. . . Nay, though all things must come utterly to an end in time,
Gondor shall not perish yet. . . There are still other fastnesses. . .
Hope and memory shall live still in some hidden valley where grass is green.”
~The Return of the King

Some days, one wishes time would stand still and the feeling of the moment would never ever end.
Other days, strange, eerie days, and thankfully unusual days, one wishes time would speed up, because whataver tomorrow brings is better than the suspense of today. Whatever shall become of me? 4 years won't be enough for me to grow up. To change from a selfish, immature, proud baby into a caring and loving person. . .

And it seems to me that the ultimate test of adulthood is giving up everything, being willing to suffer huge amounts of pain, for the people you love, and not have any problem or regrets with it: rather be happy to do this. And somehow I don't think I'll ever pass.

We are hosting prefrosh. 3. Yay!

I am making a marauder's map as an addition to my adventure-game product. It's sortof tricky though.
"I solemnly swear I am up to no good. . . " And it's taken up my entire evening.

Pleasantly surprised to get my DifEq test back today.

Hehe. . . how amusing. . . snippets from the text-based adventure game we're working on: the MIT adventure

At great-court course-6-frosh says -- Hi sailormercury
At great-court course-6-frosh says -- I try but cannot take lovely-trees

but 42 clock ticks later, it loses some of it's novelty ^_^
still, better than directed graphs. . .
