The rehearsal dinner was pretty fun. . . afterwards, my friend and I went back to my house to watch a movie--- he likes guy flicks but I made him suffer through "My Fair Lady". . . because he had never watched it before, and it's such a good movie!

The actual wedding was today (my high school accounting teacher's daughter), and it was a really nice ceremony. Tonight I'll be going to a Miss Mississippi Pageant party (a choir tradition), to eat lots of good food, and make fun of the girls ;).

I almost wonder if I should be posting, since with every new post, another one gets archived, and goodness, my school days made for much more of an interesting read than anything I'm doing now (*hint, hint* go read the archives if you don't to fall asleep. . . ) Tomorrow I've got the rehearsal dinner, and the next day the wedding to play at. I got a really nice pink dress (never thought I'd own a pink dress), really simple, strapless, and with a brown ribbon at the waist, to wear at the wedding.

I went driving over the weekend--- ^^ it was kind of fun. I feel like such a highschool student, learning how to drive. . . but I guess I'll have to learn sometime. A boy from work asked me to dinner, and though he's 18, neither of us drive, and the whole situation makes me feel so dependent and un-autonomous, you know? So, I'll try to make myself learn.

Every night, I feel like I've just thrown my day away. I get home from work, eat, practice my violin, maybe relax for a bit, then it's 12:00, and I have to go to bed.

Our supervisor brought in these colored rocks to the office that he picked up on his trip to New Mexico. They were red, orange, green. . . They looked like my childhood. I remember my friends and I would crush those sorts of stones, sandstone mainly, with larger stones, and distribute them to people as "medicine" (not for consumption, perhaps as powder?); we would make little splints and syringes from random twigs lying around, and we would cure lots of dolls and stuffed animals that way.

So. . . I've gone on a blog redesigning spree. I've given up on making it Netscape 4.76 friendly. . . it makes the range of what I can do so small. Old browsers won't handle it b/c it uses div, but hopefully it's lost all trace of looking like one of those pre-made templates. . . While I've redesigned, I haven't really been posting. Work is a bore. I happily discovered at work today that my computer has Adobe Photoshop. So after finishing up my extra assignment, I drew for an hour or so.

Last Saturday, I met up with Max, a fellow Mississippian who'll be going to MIT next year (yay!) My parents were the only parents who volunteered to represent Mississippi in the parent connectors association thing, so his mother found our name on the website. . . He seemed really nice, so that'll be cool to have another Southerner around. . . (although I'm not really a southerner to begin with. . .)

And all this time, I just thought I was a Chinese girl with huge eyes by some genetic mishaps. . . My mom said her grandmother's eyes were blue, so there's some chance that I'm partly Dutch. . . Funny, though, my big eyes come from my dad's side. My freckles come from my mom's side.

Layout is a little different (I sort of like it. . .) and best of all, takes a very short time to load! Maybe because my first layout had tables within tables within tables. . .

Layout re-done

So the commenting system works--- I'm somehow strangely excited though I doubt anyone will leave any comments. . . since I have no idea how many people actually read this. . . hehehe. Some people in Australia (from RMIT, I think?) somehow found this blog and left notes in the tagboard, when that was up. I've been on a drawing spree, so if you want to see lots of pictures of a girl with red boots, click here, then go to Coffee Mints, and laugh at my attempts at fashion design.

Yah, it would be nice to know how many people actually read this, since I've been thinking it's about time for a new graphic. But I like the current one a lot, and further more, I'm sure very few people have seen it and would even notice the change ~_^.

Hmm. . . I've just added a commenting system.

I haven't posted in a while. . . I just know AOL will kick me off as soon as I've finished writing a whole paragraph, and I'll have to start over. But it would be equally as annoying to post each word seperately, wouldn't it?

My Japanese books have arrived. . . If I'm taking 6.002 (circuits) 18.100 (Analysis) 7.012 (Biology) and Japanese next term, I figured I need a head start on Japanese--- considering I know next to nothing about the language! (Yay for anime which has taught me a handful of random words. . . And yay that now I have an excuse to watch it.)

I also just started my job today. I felt so guilty b/c today they've just been getting the office ready, so I practically got paid 88$ to sit around and do nothing.

I saw my brother's wearing his boots on Sunday and thought--- they're so cute! I want to draw them. So I spent an hour or so drawing his boots. Then I got inspired to make some boots just as clunky but red and taller
