I have been going through a manga reading frenzy these days. I've tried out "Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai", "B.O.D.Y", "Beauty Pop", and "Kagen No Tsuki". They're all very different, very cute, and in some cases very funny. I am always amazed at the variety of characters and the imagination that goes into making a plotline or premise that no one ever has before, or taking an ordinary plot line and making it interesting. Well written manga are such gems ^_^. Though the hardest test for them I think is how they can uphold my initial level of interest through many many volumes.


I've also found a place that scanlates "Gokinjo Monogatari". What with my Gokinjo Monogatari obsession, dressing up like Mikako, I've never read more than 1 volume of it, and the second one at that. I <3 Yazawa Ai's drawings and Mikako's clothes, but it's just so time consuming to read it in the Japanese! I feel like Yazawa's word choice is much different than my usual vocabulary too. But never mind! I'm so happy to read the story from the very beginning. Mikako is super cute. And she cheers herself by dressing up in bright colors and happy clothes ^_^. Something that I do as well.
