My week has been crazy. I have a 6.111 lab due Monday, and I spend hours in the lab. . . but I love it. I am glad that I am busy--- busy = happy, or at least no time to ponder and overanalyze things, an activity that always ends in me being sad.

I was happy to get a package from home today. I have stuff to send home also, to Mom, Dad, and Nut--- I know I'll be back in just a month, but I think Nut would be happy to get a parcel in the mail.

Anna's Tacqueria is finally open! I stood in line the first day it was open and told the guy behind the counter, "I want a steak. . . ~_~;; I mean. . . beans. . . and rice burrito." Why couldn't they have opened before Lent =P? I've tried all the different rice and bean dishes now, with all the different kinds of beans.

My friends and I finally had our Christmas party. I got to give away the plushies I've secretly been hiding in my room making--- and now that they're given away, I can post up some pictures of them. I ended up with an origami book from Jim, Pocky, Fruits Basket Cards, and clear postcards from Vikki, a French Kitty Calendar from Sarah, glass beads and socks from Vivan, untranslated Japanese manga and a Japanese songbook from Brett, a book on tape from Victoria, and a very lighthearted (ahem) bunny book from Sarah and Lindy.

Seeing my quest to make everyone appropriate plushies, Brett surprised me with a stuffed black, hairy, absolutely huggable non-identifiable creature on V-day. And matching stationary. Well, I already proved that one can make plushies of anything =P.

Life feels a bit strange and unpredictable right now. I'm never sure where each week will take me--- how it will change my view of what it is that I want, and my feelings about things. I guess that just makes things more interesting =P

Sunday was a nice before school treat. My floor's GRT took us out for Dim Sum in the morning. I ate just enough so that each dumpling still tasted absolutely delicious. Then we ended up shopping at Downtown Crossing--- I just got a rug for my room, so I resisted the urge to spend money ^_^. Our GRT is very sweet and personable. We talked for a bit--- it interested me that she took Japanese for 3 years as an undergrad at Harvard. During our conversation, she asked if I go to Chinatown a lot. She said I look like the kind of person that really likes to eat Pocky and other Asian snacks. I look like a Pocky eater? I don't know what that means, but it's the nicest compliment anyone has ever given me, hehehehe.

In the evening, a bunch of friends ordered Indian and (re)watched "Love Actually".

I like and have always liked buying notebooks for the new school year. More than that, I like decorating them. My favorite notebook this year has a deconstructed Pocky G box covering the front of it. Pocky G is currently my favorite, in lieu of Milk Pocky.

Here's to clean notebooks, a home-made pencil board, and forgotten Lesson 17 Kanji.
