It is 3:00 am. Though it is dark outside, my room is brightly lit, by 3 paper lanterns. I just spent the evening practicing ritual Japanese expressions. "Welcome, please come in." "Please don't restrain yourself--- otherwise the tea will get cold." It amazes me that human interaction at every level is such an art. My desk is lined with tomato pretz wrappers. I think they are cute, but I think I ought to throw them out eventually if I can't think of a distinct use for them. I've been folding paper strawberries and sticking them in random places around my room.
After a lot of searching, I think that I have found out what I want to dress up as for the Anime Boston Convention. I can spend my spring break sewing the components. Mikako from Gokinjo Monogatari (haha, I can be pretty sure no one else will have my costume =P). I really love her--- so expressive, so much more innocent that Yukari from Paradise Kiss. I love the clothes and accessories that she designs for herself--- I am planning to make the short
red dress with the white around the waist, and white stripe going down, along with the
berry-with-wings purse. My aspiration in life is similar to hers, I think--- I want to make cute things ^_^
Living life well is an art. Making what you can with whatever you're given, in the way you see best.
