So the priest from St. Joseph's Parish in Germany where we were hosted for the first two weeks of our trip visited us on Thursday. His sister lives in New Hampshire, and so he came down for lunch. We took him to Legal Seafood, and he was excited about eating oysters, which are a rare delicacy in Germany. I had to run and give my presentation for 6UAT, which is a shame. I would have liked to spend longer with him. Father Rudolf was the one to greet us at the airport once we arrived in Dusseldorf. I must confess I expected someone much older--- the priests I know have always been the kind grandfatherly kind. But he was rather young, with a cute sense of humor, little round glasses, and impeccable English, and I took to him immediately. The younger people in the parish all loved him and addressed him with "Rudi".
Ysterday, the Anime club showed Ranma 1/2. I went with Janet and Vivian. It was my first time seeing the subbed version, and their first time seeing the anime at all. We all loved it ^_^. Janet and I hung out in my room until really late, listening to music, talking, and eating, and she read through my Ranma manga collection.
Today was the great glass pumpkin sale. I got a little clear and green speckled pumpkin. And for my parents I got a slightly larger orange, green, blue and white mottled pumpkin with a perfect curly blue stem. The pumpkins were all so goreous. I was sad to take my pumpkins away from their colorful pumpkin friends. They all seemed so happy together.
