the aftermath
it is sad to me that relationships between people who cared about each other for 2 years end with statements like "this relationship sucks," "you frustrate me" and "these are the things i don't like about you".i think they should be more like an office farewell party. even if someone is leaving because they aren't happy, even if someone is leaving because there is somewhere else they'd rather work, coworkers gather to tell funny stories, fond memories, "hey remember the time...?", and "we'll miss having you around." okay, i'm being a little flippant. and okay, maybe my metaphor sucks. but still, there were good times. and i will miss them. and i want him to know that. and this is silly but in the aftermath i would not have minded sharing favorite memories. i'd like to know his favorite.

I stumbled on your web site, doing a search for the Cervantes quote: "Who knows where madenss lies!"
I guess if one puts out a web site like yours, one is inviting whatever comes back. My impression is that you have come from an extremely disciplined background, which has to a large extent edited out a lot of sloppy, lazy, unpresentable areas of your nature. Many people (most by far, I would say) are trying to work with a collection of lazy sloppy unexamined appetites.
I wish I had some conclusions to draw from this thought. But alas..
