Notice: We do not offer the professional-quality lessons previously offered by the MIT Salsa Club. We provide only community-taught beginner lessons and open dancing for informal practice. Due to the MIT constitution of this student organization, we will not and can not offer professional instruction.

This club is on indefinite hold, we most likely will not be offering classes this semester

We are a group of students, staff, alumni & community members who get together regularly to enjoy practicing salsa and help one another improve our dancing in a casual environment. For total beginners interested in trying out Salsa and learning some of the basics, we offer free volunteer-taught introductory classes. These classes cover all the basic components (basic right turn, double handed turn, cross-body lead, inside turn, outside turn, hook turn) used in our advanced beginner moves.

For students who have got the basics down, we offer open dancing times where you can find other dancers to practice moves in a relaxed environment.

To stay informed of our upcomming events, please see our schedule and join our Mailing List.
