Imagine
Check out this cover of Imagine http://aperfectcircle.com/audio.html by A Perfect Circle.
This song is being released on a political album and on election day, and I like to think this version represents the hypocritical acts of the Iraq War. I love the self-satirical way Maynard James Keenan sings it.
BTW, it was John Lennon's birthday yesterday.
Oh and in case it isn't obvious - this post is about music, not politics. The piano is awesome. I haven't heard the original in a while but this new version is darker but then towards the end of the song gets lighter. Alright, analysis paralysis... back to work.

Granted the post is about music, but I don't see the satire. Maybe I'm just sleepy. Or perhaps I need to be more religious to see why this isn't perfectly obvious.
For those who haven't heard the original -

This video makes the satire a little more obvious:
http://www.aperfectcircle.com/video.html although I should warn you, it's cheesy in parts, like the takes with the china dolls.
I'm duly enlightened.
Though I respect anonymity of FishNorFowl, I would be able to relate more to its post if I was made aware of its identity.
