Operations Use the following navigation path from the SAP User Menu
screen or type in the transaction code from any screen.

Path: - User Menu 1. Open the Profit Center folder 2. Open the Overview By Profit Center subfolder 3. Open the Open Commitments by Cost Object transaction
Field
Name Description Purpose Present an overview of commitments against one or more
cost objects. Once you select a Profit Center, enter
one or more cost objects to run this report.
Note Remember
to include the whole range of possible profit
center numbers for your organization. This
will result in the inclusion of any data
relating to any of the sub profit centers.
For example, the Cancer Research Center
main profit center is P159700. To include
all data in the report, the profit center
range of P159700 to P159799 should be specified.
Controlling
Area MIT (default). Fiscal
Period The 2-digit Fiscal Month and
4-digit Fiscal Year. The default
is the current Fiscal Month and
the current Fiscal Year. Profit Center
(?) The 7-character SAP profit
center number. Cost
Object Cost Center, Internal Order,
WBS Element or Proposal Cost
Object. Enter a single cost object
number, lists of cost object
numbers, and/or ranges of cost
object numbers. Note We
recommend you select one or more cost objects rather
than the whole profit center to limit the scope. Otherwise,
this report runs very slowly and produces a large volume of
output, possibly more than 200 pages. (See the warning note
on the selection screen. If the user asks for the report to
include the whole profit center, the system will ask the user
to confirm the choice.)
Term Codes
(?) OPEN: fully active 1: active, but in the
closing period. 2: closed, but changes
are possible. 3: completely closed,
and no changes are allowed. Click in the boxes to include
cost objects with the selected
term codes. Leave the boxes
unchecked to exclude cost objects
with selected term codes. Sort
Option Sort by Object
(default) or Sort by

Report
For example, if the current month is March of 2000
(fiscal period nine of FY2000) the report will show
the same data for periods eight and nine. |
