- Overview
You can change the default
background and foreground colors on the SAPgui screen either
by picking another color scheme or creating a new one. The
font sizes can also be changed at the same time.

Note

To
create a new color scheme or to change the font
size on a Mac, you need SAP
6.10 release 2 installed.
However, you can still change the screen colors
on a Mac running SAP release 4.6 or below.

Change
or Create a New Color Scheme on a Mac (SAP release 6.10 or
above)
1. Click the
SAPgui Settings button in the top right corner of the SAP
session window.

2. Select Visual Settings.
3. Click the Color Settings tab.
Result: The "Visual Settings"
window appears.

4. Click on a
color theme on the left . Scroll down to see more. You can
see a preview on the right.
5. Use the slider boxes for the Foreground
Color and Background Color to adjust the colors separately,
or select the <Link>
checkbox (middle of the screen) to adjust the Foreground and
Background colors simultaneously.
6. (optional) Click the Save
As button if you want to save your unique color scheme.
7. Type in a name and click OK.
Result: The pop-up window closes.

8. Click Apply, then OK.
Result: The color scheme takes
effect immediately and the "Visual Settings" window
closes.

Change
the Color Scheme on a Mac (SAP release 4.6 or below)
You can choose predefined color combinations
that have a bright version with a higher contrast than the
SAP default setting.
1. Click the
SAPgui Settings button in the top right corner of the SAP
session window.

2. Select HueShifting.
Result: The "SAP Theme
Customizing" pop-up window is displayed.

3. Scroll down to see more color schemes.
4. Click on a color scheme.

Contrast Blue provides maximum contrast.

5. Click Apply, then OK.

Change
the Font Size
on a Mac (SAP release 6.10 or above)
You
can change the font size for labels, fixed entry fields, and
proportional entry fields on a Mac which has SAP release 6.10
or above installed. Labels are the menu bar, field names,
and button names at the top of the screen. Fixed entry fields
are the ones that accept a specific value. Proportional entry
fields are the ones that you type freeform text into. See
below for an example.

1.
With the "Visual Settings" window open, click the
Font Size tab.
2.
Click the Selection List button
and select a font size for each category.
3.
Click Apply, then OK.
Result: The change takes effect
immediately and the "Visual Settings" window closes.
4.
(optional) Click on Restore Defaults to return
to the default size.

Change
or Create a New Color Scheme on the PC
1. Click the SAPgui Settings button
in the Windows Task bar at the bottom of the screen. See below.

Result: The "SAP GUI Settings"
window is displayed.

2. Click the Color Settings tab.
3. Follow Steps 4 through 8 in
Change or Create a New Color Scheme on
a Mac (SAP release 6.10 or above).

Change
the Font Size on a PC
On
a PC the font sizes for all fields on the screen change. You
cannot change each field category separately.
1.
With the "SAP GUI Settings" window open, click the
General tab.
2.
In the Font Size section on the right, slide the vertical
bar to either increase or decrease the font size.
3.
Click Apply, then OK.
Result: The "SAP GUI Settings"
window closes. The font size will change when you log off
and log on again.
