SAP

What It Is Used For
SAP is the system of record for financial accounting and reporting at MIT. It is also used by departments, labs, and centers for requisitioning, journal vouchers, and other financial and administrative tasks.

MIT developed and maintains SAPweb, a web interface to SAP, offering much of the same functionality as the SAPgui.

The Labor Distribution System (LDS), which is accessed via SAP, was also developed at MIT. See the LDS section.

For more information about SAP and resources available to SAP users, see the SAP for MIT web site.

Authorizations & Access
Users must be authorized to access SAP and have specific authorizations to perform particular functions in SAP. For access and authorizations, contact your department's Primary Authorizer.* See the list of Primary Authorizers.*

The SAP desktop software can be downloaded from the web. See the SAPgui Installers web page.
