MIT Macintosh Users Alert: A recent upgrade to the Mac OS, version 10.5.3, has created an issue with Safari access to SAPweb and SAPweb Self Service applications. The easiest work around is to use the Firefox web browser instead. You can also upgrade to 10.5.4 and then run CertAid, a tool that fixes Safari access to MIT servers. To read about and download CertAid, go to http://web.mit.edu/swrt/certaid.html.

What can I do on the Employees tab?

The Employees tab offers DLC administrators the ability to update Personal Information for employees in their Organizational Unit(s). It is also where Time Approvers and Time Administrators review and approve time sheets online, request or process time sheet corrections, and view time sheets that have been submitted to SAP payroll. In addition, Distribution Reviewers may also review and adjust Salary Distribution information for employees in their organization.

Update Personal Information: DLC administrators, with the proper authorization, can update the following information for employees in their Organizational Unit(s).

  • Name and Home Address
  • Ethnic Origin/Gender/Veteran Status
  • Work Address and Phone
  • Emergency Contact
  • Education History

Note: Employees who want to update their personal information should do so by accessing SAPweb Self Service: Employee Info.

Approve/Distribute Time Sheets: Approve/Distribute Time Sheets allows Time Approvers and Time Administrators to review and approve time sheets for employees in their organization whom they are authorized to approve. Distribution Reviewers and Time Administrators can also use this function to review and edit Salary Distribution information on a weekly basis for non-exempt employees. Availability: The Approve/Distribute Time Sheets application is generally unavailable from Monday at 5:00 PM to Tuesday at 5:00 PM for payroll processing. The View Time Sheets and Request Time Sheet Correction links are still available. Please refer to the Monthly Payroll Closing page for any changes to this schedule.

Request Time Sheet Correction: Time Sheet Correction is a web form that is used to initiate and document corrections to past time sheets, after they have been approved. This web form allows Time Approvers and Time Administrators to initiate corrections to time sheets on behalf of an employee or hourly-paid student.

View Time Sheets: View Time Sheets enables a user to research questions and look up information on past, present, and future time sheets that have been entered into the SAP Payroll system, from July 1, 2006 on.

Salary Distribution System (eSDS): Administrators use eSDS to update salary distribution records for prior and future periods.

eDACCA: Administrators use the eDACCA application to review monthly and quarterly salary reports and certify quarterly reports to comply with MIT's Financial Review & Control (FRC) and Certification policies.
