It was developed to provide a simple interface, requiring minimum training, that could be used on any platform that supports the Netscape Web browser. A series of standard SAP screens:

Data entry is in a series of screens. The data entry screens and online SAP help documentation are standard SAP, i.e., not specifically customized for MIT.

No extra fields:

Unused fields:

SAP screens include entry fields that are not used at MIT.

No time out:

There is no automatic time out function for SAPweb.

Two hour SAP time out:

After two hours of inactivity, SAP will automatically log you out of the system. Any incomplete requisitions will be lost.

You can only split costs of a single line item across a maximum of three cost objects (MIT accounts).
