MIT SASE and TiE-Boston are co-hosting ForSE 2012: Forum for Social Entrepreneurs. 21st Century Challenges: New Ideas, New Approaches, and New Solutions. MIT will be hosting the conference, and we are currently planning the details of the conference.

Join us for a presentation on "How to stand out at an interview", followed by an overview of the Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP), and a GE Q&A panel. Come with any questions about career paths, life as an engineer, or work/life balance. Dinner will be provided.

Post-MIT Experience Panel

Panelists include Deborah Hung, an MD/PhD from the Broad Institute, VanDai Le, an MD from the Cambridge Health Alliance, Vanessa Cheung, a post-doc in Course 7 and Tram Dang, a graduate student in Course 10. Each panelist will share their own unique stories regarding their post college experience and their advice to students who are thinking of pursuing the same career path. Dinner will be provided.

National SASE Conference

SASE members are welcome to attend the National SASE Conference held in Baltimore, Maryland this year. The conference is filled with workshops, career panels, and keynote speakers. Youth Entrepreneurship Event

The MIT Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers is co-hosting a youth entrepreneurship event with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). TiE runs the TyE program which teaches entrepreneurship to high school students and helps them discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur. It was established in 2005 by TiE Boston's educational program. TyE Boston is embarking on its seventh successful year of operation. So far over 200 students have participated in the program from over 25 local schools.
