Welcome to the Koch Biology Building
Directions to the Sauer Lab
The Sauer Lab is located in the Koch Biology Building (#68) on the MIT campus at the corner of Ames Street and Main Street, a five minute walk from the Kendall Square T stop (redline subway). The MBTA redline subway is most convenient for travel as parking can be difficult. Taxi drivers are generally familar with our location too if you are coming from Boston's Logan Airport!
However, if you choose to drive you will find parking lots close by.
From the South, take I-93 North to Boston and take the exit marked "Cambridge." After exiting, look for the LongFellow Bridge and cross it into Cambridge. When you cross over you will be on Main Street. Go a block or two on Main Street and make a left onto Ames Street. There are metered parking spots on either side of Ames. Bring quarters! Time limit is two hours.
For longer visits, park in the pay lot near Sebastians or Legal's Seafood. Instead of taking a left at Ames Street, take a right and the garage will be on your left.

Upon arriving
Enter the Koch Biology Building, #68, and make your way inside to Headquarters, 68-132.. (Please register with the receptionist and then make your way back to the elevators and go forward to the fifth floor.)
The Sauer Lab facilities are located on the fifth floor . Professor Sauer's lab office is 68-571a.
Brenda Pepe (68-571) can help you to locate the lab member you are visiting,. Alternatively you can contact them from a phone in her office.
