Churchill Scholarship Step by Step Instructions

There are TWO application forms for the Churchill Scholarship: The Churchill Scholarship Application Form (SAF) and the Graduate Admissions Application (GAF) to attend the University of Cambridge.

The Foreign Scholarships Office will endorse only two candidates and submit their applications to the Churchill Foundation.

Step 1

Fill out a Churchill pre-application form and submit to Distinguished Fellowships Office, 12-189.

Step 2

Begin your application. Materials can be found on the official Churchill Scholarship website. A complete application consists of the following: A Churchill Scholarship Application, an Application Form for Admissions as a Graduate Student or to a Postgraduate Course, a Scholarship Medical Certificate and a Scholarship Reference Report.

Step 3

If you have not already done so, schedule GRE testing.

Step 4

Submit one original of all application materials to 12-189 by September 10. Please see policies on application submissions.

The Churchill Scholarship Application consists of a statement of purpose, original transcript(s), four scholarship reference reports, and a scholarship medical certificate. All forms can be found on the Churchill website.

The University of Cambridge Graduate Admissions Application (GAF) consists of a completed four-page admission application, a personal data sheet, two reference letters, a head/shoulder photo and an original transcript. Submit any other required work (Research proposal, CV or Written work). Do not fold documents.

Step 5

Submit the appropriate reference forms to referees. GAF Referees (two) need to use Supporting Reference Instruction Forms. Churchill Scholarship Application Referees (four) need to use the Scholarship Reference Report. Referees need to submit these to us in a signed and sealed envelope.

Step 6

Schedule interviews with members of MIT’s Distinguished Fellowships Committee. You will receive an email with the names of three interviewers (and any further instructions), and it is up to you to schedule the interviews.

Step 7

Attend interviews with members of the Distinguished Fellowships Committee.

Step 8

Make any necessary revisions to your application based on feedback from the interviews. Submit one copy of your final revisions to 12-189. Please see policies on application submissions.

If you are selected as an MIT nominee further instruction will follow
