The School of Science Staff Excellence Awards program is a mechanism to recognize and reward MIT employees. The program is meant to provide opportunities to recognize and reward members of MIT's administrative staff, support staff, service staff, sponsored research staff, instructors, lecturers and postdoctoral researchers for accomplishments beyond their typical assigned roles and duties.

All employees may be nominated for this award and there will be a financial supplement reward of $2,000.00 (less applicable taxes) that is expressly distinct from base pay and yearly performance reviews. (HHMI employees may be nominated for the award; however, they are not eligible to receive the cash portion of the award.)
