MIT Gear Rental


WHERE TO RENT

MIT used to have a scuba gear locker in the Alumni Pool building. However, that was eliminated when the Stata Center was built. In its place, the MIT Scuba Club has formal agreements with United Divers in Somerville and PG Dive in Newton to provide complete gear rental packages at greatly reduced prices. You must be a current paid-up member of the MIT Scuba Club to get these rental deals. The shops will check your name against our online membership list. (Click here to get information on becoming a member of the MIT Scuba Club.) Of course, you can also rent gear from any other shop of your choice at their usual rates and conditions.

Please note that since United Divers conducts the scuba certification classes for the MIT Dept. of Athletics, the MIT Scuba Classes have first priority on UD equipment on days when classes and checkout dives are conducted. Check with United Divers for these dates.
