The MIT Scuba Club is an organization of divers with various affiliations to MIT. We host talks, plan dives, have cookouts and other activities that are open to certified divers and those who are interested in learning this sport.

 8,9: Sat,Sun
          Sea Rovers Convention at the Copley Plaza Hotel

APRIL

 29: Tue  18:00-20:00   Room 56-154
          1st club meeting of 2008;  Officer elections;
          Guest presenter: Jerry Shine, author of "A Shore Diving
          Guide to New England" (the bible for local diving)
          And pizza and refreshments, of course!

MAY

 03,04: Sat, Sun
          DUI Demo Days at Stage Fort Park (Gloucester), including drysuit
          tryout dives.  For more info go to: http://www.dui-online.com/dog_main.html

 24: Sat  Triple wreck dive charter.  We'll be doing the Pug (110 ft), the
          Chelsea (70 ft), and a night dive on the Poling (90 ft).  The charter
          boat fits 6 divers.  Cost is $110 per diver.

JUNE

 19: Thu  First club night dive of the season.  The current plan is to meet
          at 19:45 at Back Beach in Rockport.  (Sunset is at 20:24.)  Contact
          Bill Herrington for more info.  (Athena username is wherring)

 29: Sun  Boat dive to the wreck of the Chelsea, followed by the wreck of the
          Haight, both off of Rockport.  Charter is with Cape Ann Divers, and
          leaves the dock at 08:00.  Contact Carl Stjernfeldt or Robert
          Granetz for more info.  (Athena username is granetz)

JULY

 12: Sat  (tentative) Shore dive at Nubble Lighthouse, York, Maine.  Contact
          Bill Herrington for more info.  (Athena username is wherring)

 28: Mon evening  Shore dive at Gun Rock Beach in Hull (south shore).  Meet
          at 19:30 for a single dive at 20:00.  Contact Peter Kerrebrock for
          more details.

If you don't already dive, it's time to learn. Join the MIT Physical Education lottery or enroll in an open water class at a local dive shop.
