Captain Bob participated in the testing of fishing gear in Newfoundland. Here are some pictures:

We've done several activities. The first activity is called Build a Fish. Students learned about parts of a fish and one student at the end of the lesson was dressed up as a fish.

The other activity was called Create a Fish. Students learned about 4 adaptations of fish- mouth, shape, color and reproduction and they then worked in groups of three to create a fish with all 4 characteristics. They randomly picked adaptation cards and then set off to create the fish with the four characteristics they choice. Students wrote riddles to go along with their fish focusing on the adaptations of their fish.
