2001-2002 Classrooms

October 29, 2001

Dear Ms. Phillips’ Class,

We live in a small town on the coast of Maine called South Bristol. We have fishing as our major industry. Some people catch lobsters and crabs, some dig clams, and some dive for sea urchins. Some fishermen are getting ready to go shrimping. They are taking up their traps.

Here's a picture of us

It is getting colder here now. Is it getting cold in Spartanburg? What kinds of things do you fish for? Do you have sharks there? We have a lot of summer visitors. Do you have tourism as an industry? We have 75 K-8 students in our school. How big is your school?

We will be happy to hear back from you about Spartanburg.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Russell’s Class
