Art by Germaine Keller
Germaine Keller
has shown her work extensively in New York galleries and maintains
a studio in Manhattan. She received a B.F.A. from the University
of Michigan in interior architecture and painting and an M.A. and
M.F.A. in sculpture from Wayne State University. While teaching
at the Parsons School of Design and New York University, Keller
developed large diagrammatic drawings on grass, using a lawn chalk
marker to reconfigure and draw layers of architectural information
from adjoining sites. For the past decade, she has incorporated
computer graphics into her work. The piece here is from The Book
of Scores (St. Marks Position Press).
