As you strive to turn technical ideas into viable business ventures, you will need financial and other backing from people with capital and connections. You will also likely need to interface with other technical, marketing, and potentially regulatory folks, and may have to put together collaborative teams to achieve your goals. All of these interactions involve negotiations, both in getting people to work with you to meet your needs and in doing so without excessive cost to you. This seminar addresses some of the negotiation skills you need to negotiate effectively in transforming your ideas into business realities.

Find out about management consulting from Mr. Reggie Van Lee of Booz Allen Hamilton. Learn about the industry, the challenges ahead, what it takes to be a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, and Mr. Van Lee's switch from engineering at MIT to consulting.

Mr Van Lee is a Vice President and Lead Partner with Booz Allen Hamilton specializing in international business strategy and the management of technology-driven companies. He is also a Managing Partner of the New York office, the row leader for the Communications and Technology practice in the US and a member of the Booz Allen Hamilton board. His expertise lies in the area of change management, strategy implementation, corporate transformation and high performance organizational design for the global information industry, specifically, and for communications, media and technology-based businesses in general.

Mr Van Lee's article "Rewiring the Corporation" has appeared in The Journal of Business Strategy and Business Horizons. Mr Van Lee was also a collaborator with Michael J. Wolf for the book "The Entertainment Economy -How Mega-Media Forces Are Transforming Our Lives".

Mr. Van Lee holds BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also earned an M.B.A. at the Harvard Business School.
