The MIT VentureShips Club


VentureShips provides hands-on training for the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Students work with MIT affiliated early-stage startup companies on real-life business issues ranging from market analysis, financial forecast, regulatory approval, business development, marketing, and more!

We collaborate with local companies in educating the new generations of entrepreneurs through a semester-long training program with seasoned entrepreneurs and CEOs. We also regularly host networking events so that students and professional entrepreneurs both from MIT and around the area can mingle and make contacts and learn from others' activities. This unpaid, non-credit program is educational in nature with active guidance from experienced mentors and entrepreneurs. No matter what stage you are at in your academic pursuit, you have much to contribute and much to gain from this program. Our alumni have gone on to work in start-ups, join entrepreneurial competitions such as 100K, or even start their own companies.


2010-2011 Organizers

President (Kai Liao)

  • Oversees entire organization, ensures that everything runs smoothly, and provides future direction to the club.

  • Helps with the training of team directors, as well as organizes and holds events for VentureShips either alone or in conjunction with other on-campus organizations
